Preparation for WA Craft,Quilt & Stitch Show

I have spent today on the computer. 1. I have beenprinting out my collage sheets for the workshop I'm teaching at the craft show. There is so much prepartion for workshops I don't think people realise. It has taken me days to collate these images and prepare them for printing. I have colour laser printed them on top quality colour paper so that images wont smudge or blur when paints or water are added. 2. I have been working on my website, uploading the next range of workshops and dates. This too takes time as I don't know Microsoft Front Page intimately and when I have a stuff up I have to read the manual. I had a couple of mistakes today and I thought I'd lost vital files, but I eventually sorted it out.

United States National Polymer Clay Guild

My Dragonfly Bag is a finalist in the mixed media section of an online exhibition by the National Polymer Clay Guild in America. There are some very well known people in the prizewinner list so I'm chuffed that I'm up there with them. Also it puts Australia on the polymer clay map.

Students at Work

I took a stitching workshop recently and promised I'd show some pics of the students working.
Here is Hannah & Imogen's work. They are creating a wall panel and a journal cover using cast paper, fibres, fabrics and stitching.

Patrick's New Toy

Patrick has bought a new farm bike. It's called a 'Rhino', has 4WD and goes like the clappers. I hopped on for a ride and he took me round the farm at lightening speed. It was dusk and getting dark quickly, I couldn't see all the bumps so had to cling on. We went at 50kms down the hill from the pumpkins with me screaming at him to slow down. This will be great on the sand dunes when we take it to the beach in the summer.

We went to see the Dusty Springfield show at Burswood and had a visit to the Art Gallery & Museum. I took these photos whilst browsing.

Google Earth

There is a really good programme called Google Earth which I have downloaded on to my PC.
It allows you to scan the globe and takes you to any place. Here are a couple of pics that I've saved the first is my sister Sue's favourite beach,Little Salmon Bay on Rottnest Island and the second pic is of Two Rocks Marina, near Yanchep where we have a holiday home.
